Hi Everyone!

I was amazed to find so many thoughtful and interesting responses from my readers to Amazon's new program that allows authors to connect with our readers--and vice versa!

This has been kind of a hard winter. I've had pneumonia for five weeks, AND a tight book deadline for NO REGRETS, Ann Rule's True Crime Files #11 which will be on sale in November. I've just finished the book, and finally stopped coughing. I've heard that a lot of people have either had pneumonia or a very tenacious flu this winter,so many of you may be able to identify.

I will get my Plog updates on here as often as I can. I also have a website of my own. It's www.annrules.com . It has many sections including: my weblog that I try to add to every other day or so; a photo gallery; a guestbook where you can post and get in touch with other readers (We've had 300,000 hits there in a year, and a wonderful bunch of people have gotten to know each other); the answers to Frequently Asked Questions; a complete list of my books (As you find here, of course); my biography; a newsletter; and several other sections. You are welcome both here and there!

I was going to be in Georgia by now attending the trials of Dr. Bart Corbin, a dentist from Gwinnett County who has been charged with the murders of his wife, Jenn, (In December, 2005) and his ex-fiancee Dolly Hearn (In Augusta 24 years ago.) The trials has been delayed until September, so I'll be home in Seattle all summer. That book TOO LATE TO SAY GOODBYE has been postponed until February, 2007, because of the trial delays.

Anyone who would like to have me sign a book, I'll be glad to do that if you send it (or them) to me at P.O. Box 98846, Seattle, WA 98198, enclosing a self-addressed, stamped return mailer. AND a note on what you would like me to say, and to whom. I'll try to return them within a few days. I can't, however, sign large numbers of books for dealers, however. I will also be glad to send signed bookplates if your prefer, and if you will send me a return SASE envelope.

My booksignings will be posted here and on my website pages. I will be speaking in July in Seattle at the Pacific Northwest Writers' Association Conference--along with Mystery Writer, Donna Anders. (You can find her great books at Amazon.com, too).

And don't forget my daughter Leslie Rule's books. Leslie is a "Ghost Writer," and I mean a REAL ghost writer. She researches true ghost stories and presents them to you along with her research. She just finished a book on murder and ghosts that will come out in November, and you can buy GHOSTS AMONG US and COAST TO COAST GHOSTS now.

Thanks for understanding why it's taken me so long to get back to you!  If you would like to receive my updates and newsletters by email, please send your email addresses to AnnieR37@aol.com

Talk to you soon!

Ann

Here we go on Amazon's new section that allows writers to be in contact with their readers, and we're going on line in early February. I hope to talk to a lot of you and help you find more information about my books, my research, what's coming up next, and what's happening to people from my earlier books. Except for Ted Bundy, the anti-hero in THE STRANGER BESIDE ME, there always seems to be new news of what they are up to--in prison or out.

Right now, it's a very rainy Sunday afternoon in Seattle, and I'm writing on two books that are set to come out at the end of this year: (1) NO REGRETS: Ann Rule's True Crime Files #11 (In November, 2006) and (2) TOO LATE TO SAY GOODBYE, my next hardcover (In January, 2007)

With all the other authors who have been invited to join this new connection to Amazon.com, I'll be anxious to see the response from  you!

All my best,

Ann Rule
