Editorial Reviews
From School Library Journal
Grade 6 Up-Written by a former Triple A minor league player and current major league scout, this handbook of baseball skills is crammed with information for young players. Included are chapters on pitching, hitting, base running, and catching. Separate chapters on fielding cover middle-infield, first and third base, and the outfield. There's even a brief section on coaching strategies. The information is detailed, yet succinct. Unfortunately, the drawings that are supposed to demonstrate the principle under discussion are sometimes confusing; it's hard to tell what exactly they are showing. The diagrams, on the other hand, are more helpful. A thorough 14-page glossary covers almost every baseball term imaginable. This book fills the bill for fairly advanced players who want to delve into the fine points of the game.

By A Customer
Covers basics for young players - spiced with advanced concepts you wouldn't find even in a book written at the College coach level. Brilliant.
