Editorial Reviews

Book Description
The island of Kaho'olawe represents many things to many people. To some it was a target in a bomb site. To local Hawaiians it was another part of their heritage being destroyed by the white man. To author Buck it became a setting for a story that would integrate a lot of concepts he had been exploring regarding a self sustaining environment situated in the islands of Hawaii. In the story a contemporary model prison situated on Kaho'olawe utilizing the latest environmentally friendly technology has a dark side that threatens to unravel all. Who or what is causing the mysterious deaths of the prisoners'? Is there some fatal flaw with the technology that attempts to manipulate nature for man's benefit?
