Amazon Stores Your Products
Amazon receives, measures and stores your products in our secure, climate-controlled fulfillment centers. Seller Central will notify you when your inventory arrives and is available for purchase online.
When inventory arrives at our fulfillment centers, we will check it in and confirm its size. If you have created an offer listing on Amazon it will automatically appear on the Amazon.com Web site as available for sale. Amazon stores inventory in the fulfillment center either in bulk or in individual "pickable" locations.
Media products are stored on library-type shelving in vertical, spine out positions with loose stacking to avoid "shelf wear." Specialty items like food or high-value goods may be placed in specific secure or climate-controlled areas of the fulfillment center as appropriate.
Each night, Amazon adds up the total volume of a merchant's stored inventory. Merchants pay for the average amount of storage they have during the month; this means you only pay storage for what is in our fulfillment centers while it is there.
