Try FBA for FREE after Rebate!

Sign up for Fulfillment by Amazon now and get FBA for free (after rebate) on your first 100 units through March, 2009! See below for full details on this promotion.

Amazon Services LLC ("Amazon") is offering first-time merchants the opportunity to earn a rebate for using the Fulfillment by Amazon ("FBA") service.

Qualifications

To qualify for a rebate, a first-time FBA merchant must sign up for the FBA service and ship units to Amazon on or before December 31, 2008. Merchants that have previously used the FBA service will not qualify for a rebate.

Rebate

A qualified merchant can earn a rebate to offset the full actual cost of shipping the first 100 units received by Amazon on or before December 31, 2008 (the "Initial Units"), and the full amount of storage, picking, packing, and handling fees Amazon charges when the merchant sells the Initial Units between October 1, 2008, and March 31, 2009 (the "Rebate Period").

In addition, for units shipped to and received by Amazon on or before December 31, 2008, in addition to the Initial Units ("Additional Units"), the rebate will be increased per the below table to offset the actual cost of shipping any Additional Units to Amazon and the storage, picking, packing, and handling fees Amazon charges when the merchant sells those units during the Rebate Period.

Costs and Fees NOT Covered by the Rebate

The rebate earned by the merchant will NOT cover any portion of the following costs and fees, which are not part of the FBA service:

  • Any sales commission or closing fees charged by Amazon in connection with the sale of any unit.
  • Any subscription fees for any other Amazon program, including the Pro Merchant service, the Selling on Amazon service and the WebStore by Amazon service.

How it Works

  • Qualified merchants will ship Initial Units and any Additional Units to Amazon before December 31, 2008, incurring standard shipping fees.
  • Qualified merchants will be charged standard FBA fees, including storage, picking, packing and handling fees, for all units sold by the merchant during the Rebate Period. For a detailed list of fees charged by Amazon in connection with the FBA service, please see the FBA Pricing.
  • Qualified merchants will receive a one-time rebate, which will include:
    • The full cost of shipping the Initial Units to Amazon,
    • The full amount of storage, picking, packing, and handling fees charged by Amazon for the Initial Units sold by the merchant during the Rebate Period,
    • The actual cost of shipping any Additional Units to Amazon, up to the amount earned per the above table, and
    • The storage, picking, packing, and handling fees charged by Amazon for any Additional Units sold by the merchant during the Rebate Period, up to the amount earned per the above table.
  • The dollar amount of the rebate earned will be deposited to and/or used to offset any negative balance in the merchant's Amazon seller account on or before April 30, 2009. The rebate will be titled "Miscellaneous Adjustment."
  • Qualified merchants are limited to one rebate for all units.
  • At any time during the Rebate Period, a qualified merchant may request that Amazon return any unsold portion of the Initial Units and Additional Units, which Amazon will return to the merchant at Amazon's expense.
  • The merchant must use the integrated UPS shipping account provided by Amazon to send their units to Amazon unless prior arrangement with an Amazon Sales Associate has been made and confirmed in writing by the Sales Associate.
  • If using a carrier other than the Amazon UPS account, proof of delivery and shipping cost (for example, a bill of lading or official shipping receipt from the carrier) will be required to receive any rebate credit for shipping costs in addition to the written confirmation by the Amazon Sales Associate.

Additional Terms

  • This rebate offer is void where prohibited.
  • Amazon may terminate or modify the terms of this rebate offer at any time in its sole discretion.
  • This rebate offer will not be applied retroactively to any units shipped to Amazon by a merchant prior to the merchant signing up for the FBA service.
